Vista del Monte is a non-profit, Continuing Care Retirement Community designed for people age 60 and over. It is licensed by the State of California. Vista del Monte features Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Support accommodations and programs. Owned and operated by Front Porch, Southern California’s largest not-for-profit provider of senior living communities and skilled nursing centers, Vista has been serving Santa Barbara residents since 1964. Our state-of-the-art Fitness Center is open to adults in the Santa Barbara community. 

Close to Santa Barbara's beautiful beaches and harbor, Vista is tucked into a scenic setting with lovely mountain views. Tall pines, sunny courtyards, gardens, fountains, aviaries and a large saltwater aquarium are additional assets to living at Vista. 

The "spirit of community" exemplified by the mutual admiration and caring between residents and staff, the beautiful campus, the Fitness and Aquatic Center and the innovative and excellent programs all contribute toward the excellent reputation of Vista.

Additional community support and expertise augments Vista's own programs, including collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation, Braille Institute, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Senior Programs of Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara Village, and the Wendy Fereday Swim School. In addition, the Aquatics Center has collaborated with several area education institutions, including Santa Barbara City College, Westmont College and UCSB, to provide community partnership training opportunities for interns pursuing careers in older adult fitness and rehabilitation. The Center also offers free wellness and health education sessions for the public including fall risk assessments and basic fitness training.
